Show Notes
Today’s episode is about microdosing, which involves taking small amounts of psychedelic mushrooms or other natural substances to improve well-being and quality of life. Jakobien van der Weijden, Co-Founder of the Microdosing Institute and Co-Host of the Microdosing Table Talk Podcast, explains that microdosing can help with various conditions and challenges, and aims to bring individuals back into a state of balance and natural order. She emphasizes the importance of understanding one's own operating manual for optimal functioning as a human being.
Jakobien shares her perspective on healing as a process of returning to one's natural order and navigating the duality and challenges of life and the ongoing paradigm shift towards individuals taking control of their own healing and well-being.

Key Takeaways
- There is still much research to be done on microdosing, but it is a promising new area of study with the potential to offer significant benefits for many people.
- Healing is healing as a process of returning to one's natural order and navigating the duality and challenges of life
- Microdosing is the practice of taking very small amounts of a psychedelic substance, such as psilocybin mushrooms or LSD, for therapeutic or personal growth purposes.
- Psychedelics act as non-specific amplifiers that bring up emotions and issues that need addressing. Microdosing is a tool, not a miracle cure, and takes consistent inner work.
- Microdosing has been shown to have a number of benefits, including increased focus, energy, and motivation, as well as reduced anxiety and depression.
- Microdosing may also be helpful for treating a variety of conditions, such as cluster headaches, migraines, and addiction.
- There are many benefits seen from microdosing but it takes an open, patient, and intentional approach. Keeping a journal to track experiences is recommended.
- Start with a preparation with practically setting yourself up for microdosing and also working with an intention
- The best way to see the impact of a microdosing (or healing journey) is to keep a journal of what you're noticing - and use this to log what is happening for you physically, psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally.
- Guidance, community, and sharing stories helps integrate lessons and get more from the experience. Programs like the Microdosing Institute's 6-week course provide education and support.
- Look into the work of Dr. James Fadiman who has researched microdosing extensively. There are many podcasts, books, and documentaries to learn more about psychedelics.
- There’s a new wave of psychedelic research and studies that is impacting what we know about this healing medicine and how it can be used to truly help people feel good in their lives.
- Research shows psychedelics may help regenerate brain cells and help conditions like dementia, ADHD, PTSD, depression, and more. More research is still needed.
- Consider your intention, do your research, and approach microdosing with curiosity and patience. It can open doors to self-knowledge if used responsibly.
- There is still much research to be done on microdosing, but it is a promising new area of study with the potential to offer significant benefits for many people.
